CELEBRATE THE MIRACLE OF EASTER!

Just as nature responds to life after winter,

so do we observe Easter and a newness of life within ourselves and all about us.

We re-emerge  from the winter of our souls.

Let us celebrate the re-birth of the Christ within, and the triumph of the miracle that is Easter.

JOIN US GOOD FRIDAY  For:

Starts: 10:00 am

Ends: 4:00 pm

“Contemplation on The Last Seven Teachings of Christ”

     You are invited to attend the full day, or any part you can.

We will begin every hour with a 20 minute meditation.

The remainder of the hour is for your
personal reflection and contemplation.

You are welcome to bring a notebook and pen for
journaling your thoughts and feelings. 

The Reception Hall will be open for community and refreshments.

Childcare will be available all day long.

- Those words written by Charles Fillmore, co-founder of Unity, more than fifty years ago still hold true for Lent today.

Join us for a study of cleansing and disciplining the body and mind toward making us more receptive to the Christ ideas.

For us in Unity, Lent is not a fad to be followed for a brief time, but a spiritual discipline that enriches our receptivity, enlivens our spiritual life, and contributes to global consciousness for good.

We will be using Charles Filmore’s book:

“KEEP A TRUE LENT”  

 as a springboard for what Lent means to us today.

The book will be available for sale if you do not have a copy.

LENTEN PROSPERITY PROGRAM 

 A Fourty-Seven Day Home Study of  

“Great Expectation” 

LENT BEGINS: Wednesday, February 22nd 2012

Dear Unity Friend,

            Martha and I have decided to ask you:

       “What are you willing to take on for Lent?”

            As we get acquainted with you and you with us, we thought perhaps instead of “giving up” something for Lent this year, we could “take on” something together . Toward that end enclosed is our  Lenten Prosperity Prayer Program.  

From Ash Wednesday, February 22 to Easter Sunday April 8, is 47 days  

(instead of 46 because this is Leap Year).

             As the daylight lengthens moment by moment, this is an excellent time to stir up our inner lights as well.

So we’ve named this program  

“The Forty-seven Day Prosperity Prayer Program”.

It might also be called “The Great Expectation Program”.

             If you already have a habit of daily devotions, perhaps this program will help strengthen that foundation. If you don’t have such a devotion already, perhaps this would be an excellent time to develop one.

            Please know that 400+ people are receiving this program from Unity of Vancouver so you’re assured of having lots of company in thought and prayer and each of us can be working the program in our own private “devotion centre” at home. Please join us.

A Prayer Workshop

Saturday, February 11^th & 18^th 

Prayer is the foundation of Unity.   It is our link to God, and unleashes a miracle-working power within and around us that produces real change in our lives.  Yet, many of us are unclear about how to access the power of prayer in our daily lives. 

Come Apart Awhile invites you to take a journey into prayer, to establish a closer relationship with God.  The payoff may be an increased sense of peace, love, and gratitude.

ENLIGHTENED LEADERSHIP CLASS: 

ALL FIVE WEDNESDAYS IN FEBRUARY: 7:00-9:00 pm

All the principles are presented by experts in the field of Enlightened Leadership on DVD’s and will be viewed and discussed interactively by all who wish to discuss on the first four Wednesdays with over an hour each week to discuss the presentation and the very exhaustive handout notes to assist in our discussions. The fifth session will consist entirely of a “wrap up” of the first four weeks’ DVD’s and the handout materials.

 All of the material being presented is designed to help anyone in a leadership position anywhere in life or who wishes to become such a leader but it was actually created by the Association of Unity Churches International (dba Unity Worldwide Ministries) and is designed for Unity Church Leadership people. However the material is generalizable to any field of endeavor so all are welcome and can benefit from these sessions.

 Please invite friends and family and anyone you believe would benefit from such a presentation.

Due to the importance of the material covered in this series, we are now opening up the class to drop-in attendance. You are welcome to come for one or several classes as your schedule allows. Each class is complete in itself. No pre-registration is needed. We hope to see you there!

As heirs of a living God, created in God’s image,

health and wholeness is our birthright.  

When we are out of alignment with Spirit,

our bodies experience pain and illness.  

Even when we realign with Spirit, our bodies are

 often the last to know.  In this experiential workshop

you will have the opportunity to connect

with the energy that is God to restore

the balance of the body and develop

your own healing ability.  

Invite your friends and family to join us

(especially those with healing needs).

You will be able to use

these skills for your own healing, and to

work with others.

 please bring it with you. Books will be provided for

those who do not have one.
